Jeanette Lantz, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Jeanette Lantz received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. She has comprehensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in the context of behavioral medicine and completed a specialized post-doctoral fellowship at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in the Behavioral Medicine/HIV Services division. Dr. Lantz has used CBT with special emphasis on relaxation training and mindfulness to treat psychological challenges in individuals with chronic pain, HIV/AIDS, problems in sexual functioning, sleep disorders, chronic and degenerative illnesses, cancer, and terminal illnesses. She also has special interest in women’s health challenges and provided psychological services as part of the integrated medical team at the Chronic Pelvic Pain Clinic at Harbor UCLA, treating women with disorders including dyspareunia, vulvodynia, endometriosis, and interstitial cystitis.

Dr. Lantz completed an American Psychological Association-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Veteran’s Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. She also trained for one year at the Long Beach Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Lantz has specialized training in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with both CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and has treated individuals with extensive trauma histories, including sexual trauma and combat trauma. In addition to these specialty areas, Dr. Lantz has used her skills in cognitive behavioral therapy to treat adults, adolescents, and couples with a wide range of anxiety, mood, depressive, and substance use disorders. Dr. Lantz also has extensive training and experience working with issues of diversity including sexual diversity, ethnic diversity, and religious/spiritual diversity.
